Son of William Madison Brooks Anderson and Rachel Holloway. Husband of Inez Anderson.

Claxton - Gordon Anderson, 105, died Monday, April 8, at his home in Bulloch County after a short illness.
Mr. Anderson was born on May 23, 1896, in the 44th Sink Hole District of Bulloch County and lived on his farm near Nevils until his death. He was a lifelong member of DeLoachs Primitive Baptist Church, where he was a lay leader and treasurer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Inez Anderson; a son, Waldo Gordon Anderson; and a grandson, Waldo Gordon "Gordie" Anderson, Jr.
Survivors: He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby Dell and E. C. Miller of Savannah; Muriel and Jack Strickland of Claxton; daughter, Nell Baggs of Claxton; daughter-in-law, Josephine Anderson of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Randall C. Miller of Savannah; Andrew W. Miller of Los Angeles, CA; Wynette Salter of Claxton; Kenny Baggs of Seattle, WA; and Lee Anderson of Temple; nine great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 p. m. on Wednesday, April 10, at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home in Claxton.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p. m. April 11, at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel with Eld. Hubert Hendrix and Eld. Conrad McCorkle officiating.
Burial: DeLoachs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: John B. "Buddy" Anderson, Jr., Preston Turner, Larry Anderson, Carroll Anderson, Jerry Anderson and Will Anderson.
