GALESBURG - Marlene M. Peck, 64, of 499 Yates St. died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2003, at Garden Terrace Hospice Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Born May 30, 1938, in Galesburg to James LeRoy and Ethel Mary Neff Lawson, she married Paul Peck on Feb. 13, 1962, in Galesburg. He survives. Also surviving are three sons, John and William, both of Galesburg, and Michael of Iowa City, Iowa; two daughters, Paula Peck and Marty Culver, both of Fort Worth; four brothers, Hank Lawson, Jim Lawson and Kenny Lawson, all of Galesburg, and Bill Lawson of Las Vegas; one sister, Eileen Lawson of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister. She owned and operated a day-care center in Galesburg. She was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Watson Funeral Home. The Rev. Ernest Pizzamiglio will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Garden Terrace Hospice Center in Fort Worth.
