Robert was the only son of Thomas Josiah & Minnie R. (Brewer) Hall.
Robert was a 1947 graduate of North Heights High School in Texarkana Arkansas. He joined the Army at the beginning of the Korean War. He was a PFC with 9 INF, 2 INF Div. He went to Korea at the end of July 1950. His medals were Purple Heart; Combat Infantry Badge; Korean Service Medal; UN Service Medal; National Defense Service Medal, Korean War Service Medal. He was in Korea barely 2 weeks when he was killed. Another graduate, Cecil Wayne 'Jitter' Groom, class of 1947, also joined the Army, and after Basic Training, went to Korea and was killed within weeks of his arrival.
Robert was survived by his parents and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Setha & D. C. Jones and Terri & Jack Dennington, all of Texarkana, Arkansas.
