Services for Jack Russell Heath were scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009 in the Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home with a private interment in Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements and services were under the direction of Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home. Jack Russell Heath was born Aug. 4, 1946 in Kansas City, Kan. to J. B. and Ella Mae (Sowers) Heath. He died on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009 in his home in Tulsa at the age of 63. "Smiling Jack," as he was known, worked as a safety manager for Santa Fe Railroad. He was preceded in death by his father, his brother Steven Heath, his sister Vicki Heath and paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Ella Mae Heath of Wagoner; his three children, Beverly Sampson of Alabama, Shelly Heath of Alabama and Jack Heath, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; two brothers, Danny Gene Heath of Florida and Randy Heath of Corpus Christi, Texas and several cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.
