Addis Marie Estella, 86, of rural Churubusco, died July 12, 2004 at her Green Twp residence. She was a member of Charter Oak Church. She was born in Green Twp on Oct. 22, 1917 to Lloyd and Roseanna (Gordon) Claxton. She married John F. Addis on Oct. 19, 1935. He died March 27, 1979. Surviving are 3 sons and daughters-in-law, John Jr. and Nancy and Jim and Carol of Churubusco, Jerry and Gloria of Pisgah Forest, N.C.; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Lora and Elvin Bridegan of Churubusco and Grace Slater of Largo, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Alva, Cecil and Ernest Claxton; and a sister, Elsie Claxton. Services Thursday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery.
