William Adkins, 75 of Columbia passed away Tuedday December 9, 2008 at Boone Hospital Center. Services will be held at 2 pm. Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Parker Fueral Service with Reverend Jim Smith officiating. William Franklin "Bill" Adkins was the son of John Franklin & Margaret E. Robinett Adkins. He was married to Helen Louise Renfro.
Bill served in the US Army and was a Korean Veteran. He volunteered working bingo at the Columbia Senior Center, VFW pOST 280 and the ladies auxilliary. Bill's favorite pasttimes were also at the Senior Center, playing pool and joining his friends in a card game or two. Bill loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with all his good friends. He is survived by his wife of 52 years and one son Larry Wayne Adkins & his fiancee Donna Roth of St. Charles, Mo., a brother Roy and his wife Dix, two nieces and a nephew.. A daughter Sharon Kay preceded him in death.
