Funeral services for Oakley H. Claud, 33, native of Giles County, Tenn., and resident of Elkmont, Ala., were held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, August 28, at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens, Ala., with the burial in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens. Mr. Claud died Sunday morning, August 25, at the Veterans Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Born and reared at Prospect, Tenn., he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Linsley Claud of Prospect, who survive.

Other survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Daniels Claud; five sisters, Mrs. F.A. Tate, Mrs. John Henderson and Miss Alma Claud, all of Prospect, Mrs. Ben Holt, Elkmont, Ala., and Mrs. Ruth Rochelle, Athens, Ala.; and six brothers, Vernon Claud and Robert Claud, both of Prospect, Dan Claud, U.S. Air Force, Oklahoma, H.C. Claud, White Bluff, Tip Claud, St. James, Ill., and Smitty Claud, U.S. Army.
