Our dad is so very truly missed. Mom misses you so very, very much. You are in our thoughts and prayers each and every day. Miss you dad!!
You were our Guardian Angel then and still to this day. You made me the person that I am today.
My dad died from ALS, commonly known as Lou Gerigs Disease.
He started coming down with this horrible disease when he was 50.
We took him to Florida, where they were doing an experimental treatment with ALS.
We took him to the Sanders Medical Clinic, in Boca Raton, Florida for 7 weeeks, where they were doing experimental treatment with snake venom shots, and on the next day, using electrical stemulation on his muscles.
After we got home, mom kept up the treatment that he had received in Florida.
This experimental treatment worked out very well, for him.
We know that this treatment extending his life span for him plus the loving care that he had received from mom and my sister, (who were his care givers) since the rest of us, had already left home.
Dad was always there when we needed him. Even though he had ALS, he was still always there for us, when we needed him.
My dad was a proud Marine who served in the Marines during World War II. He joined the Marines when Pearl Harbor was bombed.
He was a very proud Marine, to serve his coutry, when we needed him to defend our freedom during WWII.
Thank-you to all the Military Forces who fight and protect our freedom , here in the USA.
God Bless You ALL.
HERE IS A POEM FOR MY DAD FROM HIS LOVING WIFE, CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN:
You never said you were leaving
You never said goodbye
You were gone before I knew it
And only God knows why
A million times I needed you
A million times I cried
If love alone could have saved you
You never would have died
In life I loved you dearly and in
Death I love you still
In my heart you hold a place
That know one could ever fill
It broke my heart to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of me went with you
The day God took you home
THIS IS FOR YOU DAD, UNTIL WE ARE ALL TOGETHER AGAIN
"Little did we know on that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again."
This is a poem that I stumbled upon (author unknown):
Always a silent hurt,
many a silent tear,
but always a beautiful memory
of one we loved so dear.
God gave us strength to bear it,
and courage to take the blow,
but what it meant to lose you
...no one will ever know.
