Glenn "Skeeter" Gebaur, 56, of Kansas City, KS, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at his home. Visitation will be Monday, September 14, at First Baptist Church of Kansas City, KS, 2900 Minnesota Ave, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and the service will follow immediately at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Glenn (Skeeter) Gebaur Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.

Glenn "Skeeter" Gebaur was born April 13, 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1971. He was a self employed graphic artist, sign painter and owner/ proprietor of Signs by Skeeter. He had a passion for racing drag bikes, and loved professional wrestling. He enjoyed playing the guitar especially the blues. He had a special way with animals and a gentle manor with the elderly and children. He lived for his friends and family. His sense of humor was well known to all and was an avid fan of The Three Stooges. His presence was a comfort to his family as he was an ardent protector and always looking out for them, ready to put a foot in anyone's a** who threatened them. He loved playing lottery and played his favorite numbers often. He was generous with his time, and there was nothing he wouldn't do for others. He was a loving son, father, grandfather and husband. He will be dearly missed.

Glenn "Skeeter" is survived by his parents, Glenn E. and Arlene (Heimburger) Gebaur of Kansas City, KS, wife Terrie (Hartig) Gebaur of the home, son Alex Gebaur and wife Lindy of Overland Park, KS, daughter Angie (Gebaur) Keck and husband Scott of Parkville, MO, sister Linda (Gebaur) Ashley of Topeka, sister Ann (Gebaur) Wissman and husband Bob of Kansas City, KS and three grandchildren, other family members and many, many friends.

Service will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday, September 14 at the First Baptist Church of Kansas City, KS (29th & Minnesota Ave.) Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until Service time (6:00 p.m.) at the Church.

Family suggests contributions to the Glenn "Skeeter" Gebaur Memorial Fund to Wallace Funeral Home 422 North Lake Street, Pleasant Hill, Missouri.
