ALEDO - Thomas Bryan "Tom" Scott, 83, a retired aircraft assemblyman, began a journey on a new trail Monday, Oct. 8, 2001. He was surrounded by family and friends.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Aledo. Burial: Brown Cemetery in Aledo.

Thomas Bryan "Tom" Scott was born April 10, 1918, on the Winfield Scott Ranch near Cresson. He married Reubene Gressett on Jan. 7, 1939, in St. Louis, Mo. They had lived in Aledo since 1947. He retired from General Dynamics in 1981, after 39 years of service. He was a graduate of Archer City High School, where he was an outstanding athlete. He was a volunteer at New Horizons ranch, a home for troubled children, where he served on the public relations board for several years. He was an active, charter member of the Texas Friendship Wagon Train Association. He was a true cowboy at heart.
