MRS. EDNA M. BLACK GOVE
Mrs. Edna M. Black Gove, 88, of San Rafael, Calif., formerly of Springfield, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in California. She had been in failing health for four years, and seriously ill one week.
Mrs. Gove was a matron at the Clark Memorial Home in Springfield for a number of years.
She was born May 10, 1887, in Springfield, the daughter of John H. and Mary Fullerton Funk, and had lived in California with her son, Charles A. Black, Jr. for the past two years.
She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Springfield.
In addition to her son, survivors include three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Pfeiffer of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Her body will be brought to the Littleton Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Ferncliff Cemetery by the Rev. Herbert E. Massey of Central United Methodist Church.
