Monique was my grandparents' dog. She was a black miniture poodle. She traveled to many states in her years including among others, Wisconsin, Indiana and Nebraska. My grandmother told me that when she first saw Monique, "She looked more dead than alive," but she got her anyway.
On her dying day, my grandmother took her to the vet and the vet told her that she was 95% gone so my grandmother had her put to sleep rather than having her suffer any longer.
