Services for Arvella M. Roper, 81, will be at noon Monday at Miller Memorial Chapel.
Born in Daisy, Wash., the 81-year Visalia resident died Wednesday. The cause is pending.
She married A. Clarence Roper in Idaho in 1940.
She directed Bible school and played piano and sang in the choir in the churches in which her husband was pastor.
She also taught school in most of the towns they served in, her first teaching job being in a one-room schoolhouse.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Arlen Roper of Visalia; a daughter, Beverly M. Gotts of Atwater, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Sharon M. Gray, died in 1971. Friends may call from 3-5 p. m. Sunday at the chapel.
