Debra "Debbie" K. Cobb Witt

June 22, 1954 - January 14, 2014

Debra "Debbie" K. Cobb Witt, 59, of Red House, passed away at home to meet our Lord and Savior, Tuesday January 14, 2014, surrounded by her loving devoted husband, sons, family, and friends.

Debbie was born June 22, 1954 in South Charleston, and was a daughter of the late Otis and Gladys Cobb. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Jim-Bob Cobb(Find A Grave memorial number 74043640), and her loving father-in-law, Amos Witt.

She is survived by her loving, caring and devoted husband, Wayne Witt; her precious loving granddaughter that she loved so very much, Delaney Grace Witt; her sons, Travis Witt and his companion, Michelle, and Scotti Witt and his companion, Hillary; brother, Otis Braxton and his wife, Cathy of Buffalo; sisters, Sharon K. Keen and her husband, Eddie of Ripley, and Dotti Witt of Cross Lanes; mother-in- law, whom she loved so much, Lucille Witt; special aunt, Genny Coon of Nitro; and several nieces and nephews; a special niece and caregiver, Chastity Scantlin and her husband, Greg and their children, Neal and Andrew. Debbie was also survived by her extended family, Margaret Hicks, Evelyn Harrison, Carolyn and Charlie Humphrey, Lisa, Tim and Joely Casto, Vickie and Wayne Lovejoy, Sharlene and Brad Wiseman, and a host of great friends.

Debbie was a member of Paradise Bible Church and loved her church family. We thank you for your love, support, and prayers. We will always remember and be grateful. We also want to thank all who visited Debbie with love and support throughout her illness with Alzheimer's. The prayer's, love, and kindness, during these 5 years will never be forgotten, may God bless you all. Also, thanks to HospiceCare for their love and support, our Lord and Savior who changed our lives, and without whom we could not have made it.

Debbie will always be remembered for loving and caring for the sick and elderly. Her friendships were a treasure and she was such a wonderful and special friend to many, and she was loved by all that knew her. Now she is in the arms of our heavenly Father and will be greatly missed.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2014 at Chapman Funeral Home, Winfield with Pastor Paul Browning officiating. Burial will follow in the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Institute.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd W., Charleston, WV 25387-2536.
