Donald Eugene Braunbeck, 72, Carbondale, died Wednesday, Jan 31, 2007, in a Topeka care facility.
He was born April 23, 1934, at Newark, Ohio, the son of Herbert John and Eva May Sullivan Braunbeck. He graduated from Newark High School.
He served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was a machinist for the AT&SF Railway System at Topeka. He retired in June 1995 after more than 36 years of service.
He was a member of St Patrick's Catholic Church in Scranton. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus of the James Fitzgibbons Assembly, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No 7769, St Patrick's Catholic Church, Osage City and Scranton. He also was a member of the International Association of Machinists.
He married Doris Mae Harris, Oct 15, 1955, at Assumption Church, Topeka. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters:Vicky Marie Neely, Baldwin City; Peggy Sue saunders, Topeka; and Sally Anne Conn, Carbondale; 10 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Carol Marie Dymek, Newark, Ohio.
He was preceded in death be three brothers; Herb, Richard and James Braunbeck; his parents; and a daughter. Linda Diane Braunbeck.
Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, Feb 3, at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Scranton. Burial was in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Scranton.
