DECATUR -Robert "Bob" J. Engle, 60, of Tower Hill, formerly of Decatur died 8:13 p.m. Monday (Dec. 6, 1993) in Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Springhill Presbyterian Church near Beecher City. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Lockart & Sons Funeral Home Shelbyville, and noon until service time Friday in the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials: Lakeview Baptist Church, Decatur, or Lincolnland Hospice of Shelbyville.

Mr. Engle was born on March 24, 1933, in Vandalia, son of John F. and Ruth E. Greider Engle. He retired from Caterpillar Inc. in April 1992 after 26 years of service and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Decatur. He married Charlotte Williams in Decatur on July 1, 1956.

Surviving are his wife; son, John A. and wife Diane of Phoenix, Ariz. sisters, Mrs. Burhl (Reta) Woodrum and Mrs. LaVern (Margie) Arndt, both of Elwin. He was preceded in death by his parents.
