John J. "Jack" Fenstermaker, 84, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002.

A Mass for him and his wife, Lucy, will be at 4:30 p.m. EDT Monday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 4665 Thomasville Road. A reception for family and friends will be held in the church's Community Center following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.

Fairchild Burial & Cremation Services (386-8686) handled arrangements.

He was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Feb. 27, 1918, and was a graduate of the Ohio State University School of Business. Before retiring in 1979, he was senior vice president for marketing at McKesson and Robbins, a pharmaceutical company, and later was president of Jack Fenstermaker Associates, a consulting firm.

He held many offices in professional associations, including the presidency of the National Wholesale Druggists Association.

After many years in Chicago, New York and San Francisco, he and his wife moved to Tallahassee in June 2000. Married 62 years, he preceded his wife in death by 17 days.
