Veranzi Columbus Butler was born at St. Joe, Arkansas on August 14, 1890 and died in St. John's hospital in Tulsa on May 4, 1929. On August 14, 1929 [sic], he was married to Miss Florence Hill at Tomahawk, Ark. To this union were born two sons and seven daughters, they being Mrs. Blanche Garrison, of Cleveland; Logan, William Ray, DeMoi, Carrie, Maxine, Catherine, Willa Joe and Catherine [sic].

He grew to manhood near Marshall, Arkansas, where he united with the Christian church in August, 1918. He removed to Prue, Oklahoma in 1919.

Interment was made in Sinnett cemetery Sunday afternoon, Rev. I. D. Farmer officiating.
