He was born June 4, 1940 in Hinsdale, IL.
Husband of Sandra A. "Sandy" (nee Riemersma) Davis, whom he married May 2, 1964; son of the late Charles K. and Ann (nee Bovy) Davis; brother of Thomas W. (Lori) Davis of Indianhead Park, IL and the late Charles K. Davis, Jr. and Philip J. (the late MariFran) Davis; uncle of thirteen; great-uncle of many; brother-in-law of Grant L. (Shelly) Riemer of Austin, TX.
Art grew up in LaGrange, was a graduate of Lyons Township High School (Class of 1958) and attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
He served in the U.S. Air Force (Air National Guard) and owned and operated Davis Automotive in Naperville with his wife, Sandy, from 1974-2011, retiring July 2011.
Art was Past President of the Rotary Club of Naperville and Past District Governor of Rotary District #6450. He was also Past President of the Naperville YMCA Board and a car enthusiast.
Visitation Monday, October 8, 3:00-8:00 P.M. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 9, 11:30 A.M. at the church.
Future Inurnment: Mt. Vernon Memorial Estates, Lemont, IL.
