She was born August 15, 1941 in Casey County to the late Clarence and Rosetta Yocum Tinsley.
She had worked at Genesco for 20 years, Trim Master for 8 years, Sav-A-Lot for 6 years and Golden Living Center in Stanford for 8 years.
She was a member of McKinney Baptist Church, was a past member of McKinney Homemakers, past WMU Director, and a former assistant Sunday School teacher at McKinney Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Cecilia Noe of Yosemite, Roxanna Rogers and Lisa Hogue both of McKinney; two sisters, Helen Rowland of Hustonville and Myrtle Austin of New Salem; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Tinsley and a sister Edna Short.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel from 5-9 p.m., funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2011, at the funeral home.
