JOHN J. GALLAGHER
John J. Gallagher, a life-long resident of Portsmouth and for many years engaged in the plumbing and steamfitting business here, died at 11 o'clock yesterday morning at his residence, 510 County Street. He was active in business here up until five years ago when impaired health caused his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vinie Josephine Gallagher; three sons, Bernard T. Gallagher, of Alexandria, and John J. Jr., and Harry L. Gallagher, of this city; a brother, Herbert Thompson; a sister, Mrs. George Sirian, of Cradock, and numerous other relatives.

Mr. Gallagher held membership in St. Paul's Catholic Church.

The body was removed to the funeral apartments of Flynn & O'Connor. It will taken to St. Paul's Catholic Church tomorrow morning for funeral at 10 o'clock. Burial will take place in St. Paul's Cemetery. It has been requested by the family that flowers be omitted.

Note: John was the son of John C. and Margaret A. (Nee) Gallagher.
