James Braxton Asble, 5-month and 28-day-old son of William J. and Mrs. Margaret Facenda Asble, of 307 Third Street, was found dead in his crib Friday morning about 9 o'clock at the residence.
City Coroner Edward T. Glover, who viewed the body, attributed death to strangulation resulting from whooping cough.
The body was removed to the home of the maternal grandparents of the child, Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Facenda, 314 Lincoln Street.
The deceased is survived in addition to his parents, by a brother, William J. Asble, Jr.; three half-brothers, Joseph William Bridges, Charles Lee Bridges, and Thomas Eugene Bridges, all of this city; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Facenda and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Asble, all of Portsmouth.
The body was taken to the Snellings Funeral Home, pending funeral arrangements.
