Mrs. Myrtle L. Anderson, 88, long time and well loved resident of San Antonio, passed away at the hospital following an illness of several weeks.
Her many friends of Young County, Texas are grieved at her death.
She came to Young County, Texas in 1878 with her parents at the age of three years and spent her girlhood years near Graham, Texas. She moved to Olney, Texas as a young woman, and then to San Antonio in 1920 where she spent the remaining 44 years of her life.
Up until the time of her death, Mrs. Anderson was very active in all church circles in San Antonio and was known as "Mother" to the congregation for he Alamo Heights Christian Church of which she was a member. She was entombed in the Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio.
Survived by one daughter - Mrs. A.J. Smith of San Antonio; one sister - Mrs. Dessie Cook of Pampa; one brother - C.W. Hinson of Graham; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were: Justin Oatman and Charles H. Moore, both of San Antonio, Russell McConnell of Pampa; Ernest Wilson of Weslaco, F.V. Hinson, Jr. and Ed Hinson, both of Graham.
