ROCHELLE - Donald W. Dittmar, 88, of Rochelle, died Monday, April 21, 1997 at Rochelle Healthcare Center West. He was employed by Del Monte for 35 year prior to retiring.

He was born on Sept. 21, 1908 in Jo Davies County to Erhardt D. and Elizabeth (Steinhoff) Dittmar. He married Vada M. Cook on Feb. 14, 1935 in Schapeville.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Adith (Raymond) McCaslin of Steward; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.in the Lyons Cluts-Simes Funeral Home in Rochelle with Rev. Garry Briesacher, officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

A memorial has been established to the Faith Lutheran Church.
