William George Paul Dodds, 56, of Cuyahoga Falls, died Monday, July 29, 2013 at his home.

He was born January 9, 1957 in Akron, to Paul Rider and AnnaMay (Hoffman) Dodds. He was a member of Rockton Lodge F&AM, a 32nd degree Mason. He was a Past Patron of Eastern Star – Olive Chapter in Kent. Bill was also a member of the Yusef Kahn Grotto in Tallmadge for 22 years. He was an ordained minister in both the National and International Association of Spiritualism. Bill was a Sergeant serving in the Air Force. While on active duty he was injured in a car accident and was left a paraplegic, yet he was miraculously able to walk. He was a 1975 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School and attended Kent State University where he received an Associates Degree in Sociology. He was an artist, sportsman, firearms expert and marksman, world traveler and adventurer. He lived life to the fullest despite the many obstacles he encountered and was an inspiration to others.

He is survived by his son, Tony Dodds of Kent; brothers, Chris (Margie) Dodds of Sanford, N.C., and Todd (Anne) Dodds of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Paula (David) Wright of Kent and Elizabeth Dodds of Ravenna; aunt, Mellanee Lord of Tallmadge; uncle, William Hoffman of Ellet; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 14th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 15th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. John Kittle officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family of William Dodds, c/o Bissler & Sons Funeral Home, 628 W.
