She was able to work full time and retired after 25 years at Oregon Mutual Insurance. Helen enjoyed family and was very active in the McMinnville community. Helen and Dusty were avid golfers and contributed much as one of the first members of Michelbook Country Club. Helen enjoyed gardening. Her smile and laughter were infectious, and was well known for her ability to spontaneously engage into an exotic and beautiful hula.
Helen is survived by her two sons, Robert Woods of McMinnville , Or and Charles Woods of Bellevue Washington, 4 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren , brother Edward of Honolulu, and sister Tina of Santa Ana, California.
Services will be held on Friday April 8, 2011 at 11:00 am St. James Catholic church with burial services following at the Evergreen Memorial Park. Reception following the burial at St James Catholic Church. Viewing will be at Macy and Sons on Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alheimzers Association.
