TROY ANDREW TAYKOWSKI, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital. Born Sept. 7, 1963, in Addison, Mich., he lived most of his life in Fort Wayne. He was a 1981 graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School and longtime employee of Miller & Sons Roofing Company. He is survived by his three children, Rachel (26) and Rhett (15), both of Fort Wayne, and Roman (23) of Bloomington; parents, Rev. Ted and Marie (Kleinschmidt) Taykowski of Fort Wayne; siblings, Tim (Barb) Taykowski of Macomb, Mich., Todd (Laura) Taykowski of Noblesville, and Tina (David) Franke of Fort Wayne; five nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Frieda Kleinschmidt, Joseph and Irene Taykowski; and step-grandfather, Homer McCray. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1636 St. Marys Ave., Fort Wayne, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Visitation also from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Troy's memory to the Indiana Organ Procurement Organization (IOPO) or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
