Mrs. Veal was a native of Harrison but had made her home in Milledgeville. She graduated from Georgia State College for Women in 1929 and was a retired school teacher with Midway School and also taught adult education classes for many years. She and her late husband Louie E. Veal, Sr. owned and operated Magnolia Creamery for many years. Mrs. Veal was the oldest member of the Hardwick Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Louie E. Veal, Sr. two sons, Donald Veal and Ernest Franklin Veal and a daughter Nina Claire Quinn.
Survivors include a son Louie E. Veal, Jr. (Mary) of Milledgeville, three daughters, Coressa Hornsby of Milledgeville, Carole Veal and Cathy Grant (Ed) all of Macon, a son-in-law Bill Quinn of Gallatin, TN and a daughter-in-law Jerri Veal of Milledgeville, 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.
