On the afternoon of September 27th, Frankie B. Arrowood passed away at her home in Charlotte, N.C. Widowed in 1982, by Minor Fuller Arrowood, she soldiered on living independently for nearly 25 years. Frankie is the daughter of the late Julia Davis Buckner and the late Elliot Frank Buckner. While Frankie was her given name, she was known as Nannie to everyone for her caring demeanor.

She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Edmiston, her grandchildren, Julia Elam and James E. Edmiston II, her great-grandchildren, Tiffany Elam, Cassandra Edmiston and Alexander Edmiston, many loving nieces and nephews, and 54 other children she nurtured from infancy over her 97-year life. She made the world a much better place for all those who knew her and she will be sorely missed by all of us.

A graveside will be held at Green Hills Cemetery, with the Rev. Bobby Arrowood officiating.
