Vera Borrino Stuhlbarg (nee Madsen), the beloved wife of David Stuhlbarg, passed from this life quietly on Sunday, June 19, 2011. Born April 4, 1924, in Denmark, to Martha and Niels Madsen, the family came to the U.S. when Vera was 5. She went on to be a proud graduate of the University of Illinois an auditor for the State of Illinois and a candidate for Illinois State Representative. She was an active member of the Bloomingdale Democratic Organization and a faithful precinct captain in the Ventura Subdivision for many years. Vera also leaves her sons, David (Lisa) Borrino of Simbury, Conn. and Tom (Roberta) Borrino of Roselle; stepdaughters, Joanne (Tom) Zorn of Lincoln, Neb, and Karen (Frank) Kot of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Roy (Bernadette) Madsen of Villa Park; and grandchildren, Hillary, Genna, Kristin and Anthony Borrino, Michelle Zorn, Debbie (Jeff) Krank, Erika (Steve) Letsinger and Steven Kot. In accordance with Vera's wishes, her body was donated to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
