The last of thirteen children born to Caleb Sr and Elinor (Warfield) Dorsey of Anne Arundel Co MD, Thomas was baptized on 18 Jan 1727 at St Annes Parish in Anne Arundel Co MD. He married Anne Ridgely Worthington in 1746 in Anne Arundel Co MD; the daughter of Captain John Jr and Helen Heath (Hammond) Worthington, also of Anne Arundel Co.
Children with Anne:
1) Sarah Dorsey (b: 1747), m: Reuben Merreweather (aka Meriweather).
2) Caleb Dorsey Sr (1749-1837), m: Elizabeth Worthington.
3) John Worthington Dorsey (1751-1823), m: Comfort Worthington, his first Cousin.
4) Thomas Beale Dorsey Jr (1761-1828), m1: Achsah Dorsey, m2: Achsah Riggs Brown.

"Thomas Beale Dorsey for a number of years was a member of the vestry of St Ann's Parish, serving at different times in the capacity of vestryman as well as warden."

Note: Thomas died at Troy Plantation, the home of his brother Basil. He is assumed to be buried there as well. An original frame house reamined on the plantation property from the 1600's until about 1810. This house is where Basil died in 1863 and may have also been the same house in which Thomas died.
