LAJOSE - Charles H. Stiver, Sr., 70, of LaJose R. D. ded at 3:40 a.m. yesterday in the Altoona Hospital.

Born in Indiana County Nov. 25, 1900, he was a son of the late William and Ollis (Wachob) Stiver. He is survived by his wife, the former Freda Zimmerman: a son, Charles Jr. of Irvona R.D. and a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Erma Jean) Hazelton of Cuyohoga Falls, Ohio.

Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive along with a sister, Mrs. Twila Lewis of Altoona, and three brother, James and Clyde, LaJose R.D., and Arthur, Ceres, N.Y.

Mrs. Stiver attended the McPherron Christia and Missionary Alliance Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Wendell W. Lloyd Funeral Home at Irvona. The Rev. M. R. Barto will officiate assisted by the Rev. E. R. Mink. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call in the funeral home from 7 p.m. today until the hour of services.
