Married by 1634, Mary Stace. She died by 28 Mar 1665. (The parish register of Burnham, Essex, includes the burial of "Daniel Stace" on 3 Mar 1648/9 & of William Stace on 3 Dec 1660. The Will of Daniel Stace dated 4 Feb 1648/9, makes bequests to his children, & does not name any other relatives.
The largest bequests in the will of John Barnard were to his sister Mary Bedient & her children, & to his kinsman Henry Hayward & his children. Henry Hayward was a generation younger Than John Barnard (aged 7 in 1635), so if this pattern of bequests was intended to indicate and equal degree of kinsip, then we would expect that Henry Hayward was a nephew of John Barnard or John's wife.
