Mr. Ruben Shore, Sr., age 84, died on Saturday in Doctor's Hospital in Augusta. The Moxville, N.C. native lived in Bibb County for most of his life before moving to Bulloch County twenty years ago. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II and was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include three sons, R. W. Shore Jr. of Nevils, Bobby Gene Shore of Evans, and John I. Shore of Anchorage, Alaska; one daughter, Debra Joyce Shore of Brooklet; one brother, Charlie Shores of Trumann, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Turner-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Immanuel Baptist Church Cemtery. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
