Funeral services for Ophelia Katherine Autrey, 77, of Newton, Texas were held Wednesday, March 5 at 2pm in Causey's E.E. Stringer Funeral Home with the Reverend Royer of Call United Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial was in the Bleakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Autrey died at 8am in Mixson Memorial hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Bancroft, Louisiana and a Pentecost.
Survivors include two sons, Herman Autrey of Orangefield, Texas and H.W. Autrey of Newton, Texas; four daughters, Cecil Toarmina and Tommie Aldrich, both of San Jose, California, Jean Theiss of Denver, Colorado, and Charlie A. McPherson of San Francisco, California; one brother, Drew Pierce of Nacogdoches, Texas.
