A native of Paris, he was the son of the late James Franklin Scott, Sr. and Mattie Marshall Scott. He was a retired horseman and a member of the First Baptist Church, 8th Street, Paris, where he served as a usher and was a member of the men’s choir at the church.
Survivors include a special friend, Helen Adams of Paris; two sisters Bessie Dale of Paris and Dorothy Johnson of Paris; one Aunt, Mary Marshall of Paris; two more special friends, Clyde Marks and Timmy Marks of Paris and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday September 13, 2008 at the First Baptist Church, 8th St. by the Rev. John Reese. Burial will be in the Cedar Heights Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:30 PM Saturday at the church till the hour of service.
