Isabelle Jane Lamar Malone was born on August 11, 1849, in the Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, to Wiley Blout Lamar and Rutha Jane Heavins Lamar.

She married John Perry Malone on November 18, 1866.

She and John were the parents of John Wiley, Rutha Jane, Charles Edward, Narcissus Nora, William Madison, Ida Nancy, Martha Frances, Minnie Florence, Sara, Joseph Bowie, Edna Etta Ester, Paul, and Beatrice Lillian. Only their eldest son lived to adulthood and died at age 23 years old.

After the death of her husband in 1907, Isabelle moved with her daughters to California. One of her daughters and her husband had already established themselves in Porterville, California. Is is said that this daughter and her husband owned an orange grove there. Later, Isabelle and her three of her daughters moved to Bakersfield, California where she lived until her death.

Isabelle Jane Lamar Malone died on February 13, 1923, in Bakersfield, Kern County, California. She was buried on February 14, 1923, in the Kern County Cemetery or Potter's Field located in Union Cemetery in Bakersfield, California.

Isabelle and her granddaughter Baby_Girl_Mickey are among those who are buried in the Forgotten Cemetery.
