Levi lived in Darke Co., OH and this is where he met his wife, Sophia Reichard, who was born there. They were married in Arcanum, Darke Co., OH on 4 July 1866. They had seven children: Sylvester, Wesley, twins Nora and Cora, Everett and twins Lewis and Lula. Levi was a plasterer by trade. He served in the Civil War. He was in the 110th Ohio Infantry, Company B.
