Eugene A. (Butch) Pokladowski, age 64 of Shelton, died January 3, 2010 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of Geraldine Clark Pokladowski. He was born in Derby, September 11, 1945, son of the late Eugene J. Pokladowski and Helen Kowal Pokladowski. He was a lifelong Shelton resident. He was a former member of Highland Golf Club, Shelton, he was a member of St. Michael's Post CWV, Derby, and was a member of the Sutter Terlizzi Post 16 American Legion of Shelton. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Eugene J. Pokladowski (Gabriella) of Shelton; one daughter, Katie Helen Pokladowski of Shelton; two sisters, Sandra Boulware of Phoenix City, Ala. and Patricia Collins of Altamonte Springs, Fla. Funeral services will take place Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Shelton followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. Calling hours will be held Wednesday 4 P.M. to 7 p.m. in the James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelotn. Memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405. The family would like to thank the staff of Connecticut Hospice for their care they extended to all family members.
