Ned "Ebn" Liben was one half of the early 80`s duo "Ebn~Ozn" with Robert "Ozn" Rosen. They had one album, "Feeling Cavalier" and two singles, "A-E-I-O-U" And Sometimes Y" and "Bag Lady (I Wonder)", which featured an appearance by Award winning actress Imogene Coca.

Ebn, who lived in Manhattan with his family, was cooking breakfast for his two-year-old son Max at the time of the attack and was rushed to New York's St. Vincent's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. He is survived by his widow Sallie Moore Liben and son Max.

A musician, composer, arranger and producer, he worked with among others, The Ramones, Ravi Shankar and The Talking Heads at his recording studios, Sundragon and Sound Over Soho. He released three major label albums, one with his band Ebn Ozn. His sweetness, warmth, generosity and wit touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply, deeply missed. He leaves his wife Sallie, his baby Max, his mother Diana, his sisters Laura and Lucy, his sister-in-law Marie, and many close relatives and friends. Services today 11:15AM, at the ''Riverside'', 76 Street and Amsterdam.
