Hallie as he was known to his family, was the son of Wesley Clark Humes and Rhoby Annette Anderson Humes. Jim as his co-workers knew him, worked at Convair during World War II and for the La Mesa School District for many years. He was survived by his wife of almost 35 years, Mary Estella Flaugh Humes and his son, Cecil George Humes and his wife Gerry Patterson Humes and daughter Carolyn Humes Brooking and her husband Ed Brooking. He also was survived by five grandchildren.
