He later married Tabitha Mildred (Pryor) Smith. They made their home in Arbela, Thomson Township, Scotland County, Missouri, where he worked as a truck driver.

George Samuel White of 2819 South 7th St., Keokuk [Iowa] died in the Graham hospital there on Friday night at 9:55 o'clock, where he had been a patient since last Monday. Mr. White was 67 years old and was born October 3, 1880 at London Mills, in Fulton county, Ill., the son of A.J. and Florence Williams White and he went to Keokuk from Arbela five years ago. He was formerly engaged in trucking and farming, and was employed at the Thomas Truck and Caster Co., since going to Keokuk. He was united in marriage on November 17, 1923 to Mrs. Tabitha Mildred Smith in Memphis. He was a member of the Methodist church of Arbela andhad been a member of the IOOF at Arbela. Surviving are his wife; a step-son, Wilbur F. Smith, at the marine base Santa Ana, Calif.; four step-daughters, Mrs. Paul Symmonds of Carthage, Mrs. Blanche Case, Garvey, Calif., and Mrs. Howard Bank and Mrs. Clyde Teller of Keokuk; four step-grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Walter Hyde of Memphis; Mrs. John Dannenhauer, Woodland, Calif.; Mrs. Nels Nelson, Granger; and Mrs. C.L. Sayers of Medill, nieces, a nephew and other relatives. His parents, a brother, Dillard White, and a sister, Mrs. Mozella Watkins preceded him in death.
