Professional Golfer. A native of Henderson, Kentucky, Bugg was born on November 6, 1976. In 1997 he attended the Rend Lake Junior College in Ina, Illinois, becoming a pro golfer that same year. He went on to reach the quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur in 1997, competed on the Canadian Tour from 1999 to 2001, and finished fourth on the Canadian Tour's Order of Merit in 2001. In 2002 he joined the Nationwide Tour and competed in the Arkansas Classic. In his first year as a pro golfer he finished his first season in 29th place on the money list with $128,687. On November 1, 2002 he was diagnosed with mylogenous leukemia and later underwent bone marrow transplant which hopefully would help give him a full recovery, but he had a setback in the fall of 2003. Bugg passed away at the age of 27 from the cancer on December 4, 2003, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana.
