PRESTON -- Tony Hansen, 49, died Saturday, July 5, 2003, at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, of complications resulting from a heart attack. He was born June 8, 1954, in Montpelier, Idaho, to Thomas Arden and Rula Jenkins Hansen of Pickleville, Utah.

Tony was a loving husband and a dedicated, hard-working father. He married his true love and eternal companion, Robin Kunz, on June 7, 1974, in the Logan LDS Temple, and together they happily raised three boys and one daughter. He loved to hunt and fish with his boys. Tony was a talented coach who worked with many young men in baseball and basketball. Tony's family and friends meant everything to him. His greatest possession was charity towards others. He worked for 15 years as an electrical tech at La-Z-Boy in Tremonton, Utah. He owned and operated the Denim Diner in Preston, Idaho, for five years. At the time of his death, he was employed by The Home Depot in Logan, Utah, as a pro.

He is survived by his wife, Robin, of Preston; sons, Tony Joe (T.J.) and Sara Salisbury Hansen, North Logan, Utah; Kellen and Blake Hansen, of Preston; a daughter, Kara and Mark Garr, Salt Lake City, Utah. He was also blessed to have three small grandchildren, Kelsey and Kade Hansen, and Dominique Garr. Also surviving are his mother, Rula Hansen, of Garden City, Utah; a sister, Joyce and Arden Nicholls, Providence, Utah; brothers, Gary and Judy Hansen, Jerome, Idaho; and Howard and Jaci Hansen, of Texas. He will be missed by those who love him. Friends and family consider it a true gift to have known him.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Preston Eighth Ward Chapel, 213 S. 200 East, Preston, with Bishop Kevin Sharp conducting. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Garden City, Utah Cemetery.
