Marlin E. Ross Sr., Fawn
Marlin E. Ross Sr., 81, Of Fawn, died at 9:28 a.m. Friday (Sept. 16, 1994) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, Harrison.
Born August 19, 1913, in Brackenridge, he lived in the Valley all his life.
An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the European Theater in the Normand Campaign, in both France and the Ardennes.
Mr. Ross was a glassworker at PPG Industries, Creighton, East Deer, for 33 years before retiring in 1973.
He was a member of Grace Methodist Church and the VFW, both in Natronal Heights.
He enjoyed building his home, hunting, Camping, gardening, traveling and working on car engines.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Dorothy Mowrey Ross; a son, Marlin E. Ross Jr. of Saxonburg; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Janet) Falter of Springdale; five grandchildren; a brother, Richard Ross of Sarver, Buffalo Township; six sisters, Mrs Harry (Mardelle) Humes, Mrs. Daniel (Audrey) Ankrom, Mrs. Ernest (Val Jean) Campbell and Mrs. Richard (Shirley) McBee, all of Sarver, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothea) Delp of Natrona Heights, and Mrs. Arthur (Twila) DeMao of Murfreesboro, N.C.; and two stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded indeath by his parents, Harry A. And Ella Carney Ross; four brothers Harry, Delroy, Virgil and Wendell Ross; a sister, Doris Ruth Ross.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1007 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights. The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, c/o Allegheny Valley Hospital.
