Memorial services for James Larry Cook, 71, of Omaha, Ark., will be held at the Branson Church of Christ, 307 7th St, at 11 a.m. on April 26, 2008, with Bro. Kevin Mackey officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home of Branson.
Mr. Cook died April 22, 2008, at his home.
James was born the son of James Floyd and Clara (Carter) Cook. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Captain and a pharmacist after serving 24 years. He and his wife Carolyn moved to the area in 1983 from Goldsboro, N.C.
He was a member of the Branson Church of Christ and was a Bible School teacher for teenagers.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Cook; and his sister, Carolyn "Sis" Gay.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Cook, of the home; daughter, Cynthia Zans, of Sebastian, Fla.; son, Tracy Cook, of Hot Springs, Ark.; granddaughter, Vivian "LaRee" Zans; mother, Clara Cook; brothers, Garry and Russ Cook; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Bible Institute of Missouri, 2540 N. Kansas Expressway, Springfield, MO 65803.
All things change, but God remains.
