Wife Of:
Jesse ("Curly Jesse") Perry
(m. 1-16-1845, Lawrence Co., KY)

Daughter Of:
Rev. John C. Marcum
and
Clarinda (Stephenson/Copley) Marcum

Jesse ("Curly Jesse") and Marinda "Rinda" (Marcum) Perry were my paternal
Gr-Gr-Grandparents .. Della 11-27-2009

My paternal grandmother was named for Marinda "Rinda" (Marcum) Perry ..

NOTE:
ALTERNATE DOD: 2-1-1904 (Per other researchers) .. In the Wayne Co., WV, Death Register, we find Malinda Perry, DOD as 2-1-1904, born in Wayne Co., WV, Informant as J. M. Ross, and Malinda Perry, DOD as 1-30-1905, BP as VA,Informant O. T. Hines (this would have been Dr. O. T. Hines of East Lynn, WV); therefore, I feel this "Malinda" was actually MaRinda (Marcum) Perry, w/o Jesse ("Curly Jesse") Perry as Jesse & Marinda's son, Kelly Perry, lived in the East Lynn, WV, area at the time and knew Dr. O. T. Hines .. corrections re. this are welcome .. Della 11-27-2009

Assuming the "Arnold Perry aka Harvey Maynard Cemetery" is her place of burial as research indicates it is the burial place of her father-in-law, Arnold Robinson Perry; on the same assumption, I have also shown the place of burial of her husband, Jesse "Curly Jesse" Perry, as the "Arnold Perry aka Harvey Maynard Cemetery"/Della 11-27-2009

Additions/corrections welcome .. Della 11-27-2009

NOTE 6-5-2020: Per another FAG contributor, CITY4SQUARE, Marinda and Jesse are buried in the "Adkins Cemetery, Wayne County, WV," no specific address in Wayne County, WV, being shown on the postings by CITY4SQUARE. Researching further, there is an Ezra Adkins Cemetery, location being Kiahsville, Wayne County, WV; thus, it is assumed by this researcher (Perry family member) that perhaps CITY4SQUARE has posted memorials, with pictures of stones, of the Ezra Adkins Cemetery, Kiahsville, Wayne Co., WV; plan to research this further this summer as I have not yet been to "Adkins Cemetery, Wayne County, WV" or "Ezra Adkins Cemetery, Kiahsville, Wayne Co., WV" before confirming exactly which "Adkins Cemetery" as noted by CITY4SQUARE .. RE: THE 'CEMETERY BOOK' PUBLISHED BY THE TALBERTS: When researching/reading Wayne County, WV, cemeteries a few years ago (due to planned deep mining (coal) beneath Wayne County, WV, cemeteries0, the Talberts were contacted and told there were errors in said book. Their response, "Oh, well, too late to change anything now". My team and I have read several of the Wayne County, WV, cemeteries and, yes, there are errors re. burial sites of our ancestors, the incorrect sites which we will probably never be able to correct as we have no way of knowing for sure (due to lack of marriage, birth, death certificate, etc.) the places of their burials; my feeling - when you do not know for sure the burial site of a loved one/ancestor, "leave it blank - better to not have than to have them in the wrong cemetery or place of burial, i.e., family farm, front/back yard, on top of the hill, head of the creek, etc., etc. Comments/corrections/your thoughts re. these matters - please fee free to contact me.
Blessings To All,
