Birth: 1709
Death: Dec. 10, 1777

Cydermaster and Hop merchant, born at Kingswingford, Staffordshire, England he was the fourth child and third son of Elizabeth (Radcliff) and John Badley of Townsend. He was bequeathed a one fifth share of his brother Edward's estate. As the oldest living son at the time of his father's death he was both executor and was bequeathed all real property. He never married and on his death the property passed to his next younger brother Radcliff. He leaves his pewter tankard to his nephew John Badley. (bio by: David McJonathan-Swarm)

*this bio is still a work in progress*

*the quotations are all taken from a handwritten copy made at Grasmere, (Westmoreland) Cumbria, England by Louise MacArthur of "Reminiscences of The Badleys" written by cousin Mary, the eldest daughter of Dr. James Payton Badley when she interviewed Uncle Henry, her father's brother, at Insetton and from MEMORIES AND REFLECTIONS by J.
