Randolph son of Unity Murphey & Angus Alexander.

Randolph while living in Tennessee, was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on August 7, 1837. He moved with the saints later that year in 1837 to Far West Missouri. Here they shared the trials of the saints, until they were driven out of the state by the extermination orders from Governor Boggs. His family then moved to Nauvoo, Illinois. They went through all the trials and persecutions during their building up of that beautiful city and temple.
His family was then driven out of Nauvoo, Illinois. They later moved to Utah, 1st settling in Parley's Canyon and built a saw mill there. The saints were asked to settle small communities in the state, their talents & expertise was utilized for the building of those communities.
