Callaway, Zachariah - Born 1756 (1745) in Delaware, Died 1816 in Monroe County, Virginia. Married to Ellender Boyd. Military Service: From Augusta County, Va., Records by Chalkey Volume 1, page 393 and Volume 2, page 424. Zacheriah Callaway served in Valentine White's second battalion of Augusta County, Va. Service was rendered prior to 1784 at which time court records show that he had moved to the New River Country. He assisted in establishing American Independence while acting in the capacity of soldier.
